West on US 311 2 1/2 miles from Madison, turn
south on Lindsey Bridge Road (SR1138) one mile
to Lindsey Bridge. Access is on right under
bridge.
Rural scenery and beginner rapids make this a
pleasant section for a river outing. About 2
miles from the put in are remains of the Cape
Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad Bridge (1889).
Just above the take out is a stone pier of the
Madison Covered Bridge (1888).
