Cookout for all volunteers at the Philpott Lake Visitors Center at 12:30 pm

The Stuart Rotary Club Green Team & DRBA are working to remove 50,000 pounds of litter from roads, streams and trails across the Dan River watershed. Everyone is invited to join in the project to help make our community and our region more appealing to residents, visitors and businesses. 

The last clean-up of the 2018 is along Goose Point Road (Rt. 822) from Rt. 57 into Goose Point Campground on Philpott Lake. In addition to the roadside litter, there is also a large tire dump along the right side of the road about halfway to the campground in a deep/steep ravine.
