The training, funded by the Piedmont Triad Regional Council, will focus on monitoring for the presence of E. coli in streams and tributaries of the Dan and Smith Rivers in Martinsville-Henry County, VA. Those wishing to volunteer as year-long coliscan water quality monitors will be required to partner with another volunteer to collect, process and plate a sample from their site once every month in order to measure for the presence of E. Coli.
