As we enter our third decade as protector of the Dan River basin, we find our challenges are different than those we faced in the past. Since DRBA began in 2002, we’ve seen incredible improvements in the health of our regional rivers and streams. The issues may seem less obvious and appear less urgent to address, but the truth is, our challenges are even greater.

DRBA was founded in 2002 and is the only organization solely dedicated to protecting and enhancing the Dan River watershed and the natural and cultural resources in the 3,300 square miles it covers.  When you join the River Legacy Circle, you are supporting DRBA’s work toward protecting the river and connecting people to it for many generations to come. Your gift of $1,000 or more will help DRBA to build steady and sustainable financial resources that are crucial for our region’s environmental present needs and future conservation efforts.
