Stokes County Cleanp!

June 21, 2025
10:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Join us at 10 a.m. to get dirty with DRBA! We will be cleaning up around the bridge near the 268/89 intersection and also along the river from that put-in down to the Flinchum Road access.  You can choose between a land-based clean up or a river clean up.  To clean around the bridge, bring your can-do attitude and some sturdy shoes. To clean along the river, bring your canoe/kayak.

Stokes County has graciously agreed to bring a truck for all trash to be put into at the end of the cleanup.

WHAT TO BRING:
- Water bottle/Snacks
- Work gloves (DRBA will provide if needed)
- Long Sleeve/Long Pants for protection
- Bug spray/sunscreen
- Your can-do attitude!

WE WILL SUPPLY:
- Extra work gloves
- Litter Pickers
- Trash bags
- Waivers everyone will sign

Volunteers will meet at 268/89 intersection at 10:00 on 6/21 to drop boats and then set shuttle to Flinchum Road access.  Land-based cleaners, will pick up by the bridge and leave when the area is cleared.  This effort will probably take 2 hours.  Paddlers will clean along the river down to Flinchum Road access; this effort will probably take 4 hours.

We hope to see you there! Thank you, always, to Stokes County who have been a strong partner in making the basin a beautiful place!
