Join us in celebrating North Carolina's Year of the Trail in the City of Eden and Rockingham County!

Friday, April 21- Trail Reopening and Kick Off the Trail Weekend at Reynolds Brewery!

3 pm at Rockingham Community College

RCC reopens its 5-mile campus trail network with this 1.25-mile hike led by RCC President Dr. Kinlaw and Martha Becton, Director of the Duke Energy TRAILS and Environmental Planning & Development Program at RCC. Register here!

5-8 pm at 354 Meadow Road

Join us in good food and drinks from Chip, axe throwing, Year of the Trail Swag, and fellowship! The evening will wrap up with a twilight hike on the Smith River Greenway. Register here!

Saturday, April 22- Guided Hikes, Paddles, and Rides, oh my!

9 am - Hike at Mayo River State Park at the Mayo Mountain Access- Register here!

10 am - Paddle on the Smith and Dan Rivers - Register here!

11 am - Hike at Lake Reidsville - Register here!

1 pm - Guided mountain bike ride at Farris Park - Register here!

1:30 pm - Hike at Chinqua-Penn Walking Trail - Register here!

2 pm - Paddle on the Dan River - Register here!

3 pm - Hike on the Smith River Greenway - Register here!

5-8 pm - Sip, Shop, and Celebrate the Year of the Trail

Along Washington and Monroe Streets in Uptown Eden, hosted by Eden Chamber of Commerce and City of Eden Marketing and Special Events. Join us in food and beverage tastings, live music, and vendors along the streets. Shops will be open late!

Sunday, April 23 - Self-guided hikes

Join us in hiking all around Eden and Rockingham County. A trail card will be available along with the weekend itinerary with detailed information on hikes to try in Rockingham County. Information can also be found on our interactive map, exploreedennc.com, and visitrockinghamcountync.com.
