Teacher Professional Development: Water Science, Human Impacts & Community Connection - June 5th, 2026. All teachers must pre-register by May 22nd to attend the training. Teachers should wear comfortable clothing and water-friendly shoes. Please bring a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. The training will be outside and include field-based, whole-group, outdoor investigations. Come ready to get hands-on & feet wet!
Generously sponsored by The Harvest Foundation through the Green Leaves Initiative, teachers will be provided educational resources that connects to VA Standards of Learning (SOLs) and also provides fun, hands-on learning experiences.
The training is limited to 20 teachers. Priority will be given to teachers in Martinsville & Henry County, but teachers in other areas will be considered and placed on a waiting list in case spots are not filled.
