Nov FSO Hike
November 1, 2025
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Please join us on Saturday, November 1, 2025, for an approximate 2.9 mile hike along the Orchard Lake Trail in Yanceyville, NC. Participants will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the trailhead located in the parking area just to the right and beside Yoder’s Market, 90 County Home Rd, Blanch, NC 27212. (GPS Coordinates: 36.41846, -79.34936).
This is an easy to moderate out and back and features a mix of woods, stream crossings, and some rolling terrain. This is a natural surface trail, so handicap accessibility is not recommended. Don’t forget to grab a sandwich or a sweet treat from Yoder’s Country Market after the hike!
Participants should bring water and snacks, wear hiking boots and layers of water-shedding artificial fabric or wool and be prepared for rain or wind. In order to participate with the DRBA group on this outing, all participants will be required to sign a waiver.
For more information, contact the outing coordinator Chris Adcock: phone: 434-228-0860 or by email.
